My Atlanta office will be in network for Medicare, BlueCross PPO, SuperMed, and PHCS. Otherwise, it will be out of network for all other plans. Check with your insurance plan to see if you may have out-of-network benefits.
Every visit will have a fee for Dr. Ou's time which is called an office visit fee. This is usually covered by a combination of insurance and a co-pay. For those without insurance, office visit fees range from $100-$250 depending on the complexity of the case.
Insurance does not cover any supplements or treatments given by Dr. Ou. Supplements range from $50 to $300 per month.
The tests (blood, saliva, stool) used in Functional Medicine range widely in cost, but typically run $100-$400 each. There are frequently covered by insurance.
Matrix Energetics and Theragem sessions run about $50 in addition to office visit fees. They are typically given once a week for 1 to 2 months.
Typical out-of-pocket costs for those using insurance after deductibles have been met:
For someone doing Nutri-Energetics : Each month: 1 Office visit (co-pay) + 3 Nutri-Energetics supplements ($75)
For functional medicine: Each Month: 1 Office visit (co-pay) + diagnostic tests (co-pay) + supplements (averages $50-300)
For someone doing Matrix Energetics or Theragem: Each month: 4 office visits (co-pay) + 4 Matrix Energetics sessions ($50 each)
For someone doing acupuncture: Each month: 4 office visits (co-pay) + 4 acupuncture sessions ($50-100 each). It is generally more cost-effective to use the other modalities in the Natural Healing Program. This is explained on the acupuncture page.
