As a general rule, most insurance companies do not cover alternative or complementary treatments. However, a combination of insurance and co-pay will pay for office visits which can include counseling on nutrition and cleansing. For those without insurance, office visit fees range from $60-$150 depending on the complexity of the case.
My office accepts all major insurance except for Aetna. If my office does not accept your insurance, you may want to see if you have out of network benefits.
Insurance does not cover any books, supplements, or treatments given by Dr. Ou. For liver flushing, his recommended guide is $25. Most items needed for liver flushing can be found in grocery stores. For many people, the average cost of liver flushing is less than $5 per month. People with significant bowel problems may need to be referred for colon hydrotherapy along with liver flushes. These typically run about $65 per session at one of the local facilities he recommends.
The supplements used in Nutri-Energetics are $25 each and most people need 3-5 per month.
Matrix Energetics sessions run about $35-50 in addition to office visit fees. The cost of FCT® ranges from $40-$250 per month in addition to office visit fees.
Typical fees:
For someone doing Nutri-Energetics: Each month: 1 Office visit (co-pay) + Nutri-Energetics supplements (average $100)
For someone doing liver flushes: Initial visit: 1 Office visit (co-pay) + 1 book ($25) + sometimes $5-$25 of supplements. Monthly followups: 1 office visit (co-pay) + grocery store items ($5) + sometimes 1or 2 colon hydrotherapy ($65 each).
For someone doing Matrix Energetics: Each month: 4 office visits (co-pay) + 4 Matrix Energetics sessions ($35-$50 each)
